Arrange for reliability - Backup for emergency
Security for
critical areas
Reliability of energy supply is a key issue both for critical infrastructure as well as for industrial applications.
Electrical outages are fatal for critical infrastructure — even if they last only a short time. When human lives or material things of very high value are at stake, reliability is a pivotal factor. We are aware of this, and we promise: Our products guarantee security of the energy supply. Our long-term storage systems can even be used to help offset longer outages.
CELLCUBE VRFBs STRENGTHEN THE RESILIENCE OF YOUR OPERATIONS – CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND INDUSTRIAL
MICROGRIDS – DECENTRALIZED EES
Due to the growing risk of power outages in many parts of the world, industries, services and public sector institutions are taking a view on renewable energy based micro grids. Looking at our Cellcube, which couples renewable energy with the long duration energy storage, these micro grids are decentralized and are able to work independently of the main power grid.
As a green vanadium redox flow solution storing and then shifting renewable energy, CellCube supports the fulfillment of deeper decarbonization targets. A CellCube solution guarantees the highest security of electricity supply and is capable of supplying more than 12 hours of electricity each day, allowing businesses and institutions in the critical infrastructure sector to continue operations, and to do so within the circular economy.
Always reliable, even in critical situations – Your advantages at a glance:
- Renewable based green back-up solution to meet decarbonization targets
- Long discharge duration and unlimited cycling
- Islanding capability at any time
- Reliable backup solution with fast response time within milliseconds
- Cellcube over-rating characteristic to provide maximum power draw at 200 % of nominal power
- Non-flammable, non-explosive and safe-by-design construction
Operating off the grid
In remote locations that are not connected to the electrical grid, diesel- and gas-based technologies are still most frequently used. But there is another way. By combining a durable CellCube system with renewable energy or conventional local electricity generation, this can considerably lower the costs of electricity and ensure sustainability.
Energy supply in remote areas is as challenging as ever. Transportation, logistics and maintenance on site represent significant difficulties. Through the option of decentralized electricity generation from solar or wind energy, many of these areas now have an opportunity to lower their risks and to reduce their cost of energy management — provided that the intermittency or volatility of their generation plants do not still require backups, driving costs up. A comprehensive system can be designed on the basis of our energy storage system. This would mean that diesel engines would no longer be required for new plants. We are confident that a “green” energy supply is possible even in the most remote areas of the planet.
